Objectives:

  1. To develop the liking of Education in children.
  2. To create a opportunity for learning for kids in slum
  3. To inculcate hygienic habits among children from early age.
  4. Introduction of Language and Numerical skills.

2) Non Formal Education:

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan through Pune Corporation

Beneficiaries:

Age group : 6 yrs to 14 yrs
                                                (Non school going).
                                    Boys : 109                   Girls : 138

Total 8 Classes in the following Slums, Janata Vasahat, Pan Mala, Vadgoan Bk , Nare Ambegaon, Sai Nagar, Kakade Vasahat.

Objectives:

  1. To mainstream non school going children in to formal school system.
  2. No Child below 14 years of age should be remain illiterate.

4) Children Participation Programme:

Selected Slums of Pune City( Sai Nagar, Kakade Vasahat, Janata Vasahat, Dandekar Pul.)

Children between the age 8 yrs to 18 yrs.
            Total No. of children : 180 nos.

Objective:

 

  1. Protection & promotion of Child rights.

 

Activities:

1. Awareness activity on Child rights.
2. Capacity Building      
3. Training programmes of Children.
4. Networking with other N.G.O.

(all the mentioned activities are done with the children’s participation methodology)

Achievement:  

1. 70% of activities were planned by the children.
2.  Improved capacity of children in group leading.
3. Taking initiative in networking activities.
4. Children have developed capacity level to solve their own problems.

5) Adolescent Programme:
Sevadham  Trust has worked extensively with adolescents both school and non school . Its main focus was sexual and reproductive health and life skills in relation to that. Comprehensive adolescent education programme with the help of ASMAE started in 2007
