1)Truckers Intervention Project ( Kavach Project ):

Long Route Truckers.
Daily truck halts 1500.

Objectives:

  1. STI Prevention & Treatment for long route truckers.
  2. Behaviour change communication.(BCC)
  3. Condom Promotion
  4. Community mobilization
  5. Involvement of Truckers

Awareness Activities

            3.         Exhibitions Streets Plays ,Video shows.

Treatment of STI Patients.

Prevention of Parents to Child Transmission
-Solapur District:
(Programme for Parents To Child Transmission)

1st November 2006

Area of Work:

Solapur District

Funding Agency:

MSACS

Objectives:                  

1. To prevent transmission of HIV/AIDS from mother to child.

Activities:

1. To detect HIV +ve pregnant mothers, get them tested.
2. Administering NVP to +ve mothers & to their baby.
3. Test the child for HIV ( Elisa Test ).
4. Follow-up for 18 months of every child.

Achievement:
 Up 31st Dec 09

Total ANC registration                                   :1,13,858
1. Tested Pregnant mothers                           : 76,179 nos.   
2. HIV+ve mothers out of tested             : 527 nos.
3. Administered  NVP to mother & child pair    : 378 nos.
4. Children tested for HIV positivity                : 102 nos.
        (at the age of 18 months)
5. HIV-ve children                                         : 90 nos.
6. HIV+ve children                                  : 12nos.  (i.e. 11.76%)


3) STI/HIV/AIDS INTERVENTION WITH MIGRANTS - SOLAPUR:

High risk single migrants

Objectives:

1. Create awareness regarding STI/HIV/AIDS.
2. Prevention & counseling for STI/HIV/AIDS & refer for treatment/testing.

1. One to one & Group Intervention.
2. Mass & Marker Event.
3. STI Camps, ICTC Camps.
